LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Northern Colorado women's golf team delivered an exciting performance in round two of the Golf Iconic Classic in Las Cruces, New Mexico. With 36 holes in the books, the Bears find themselves in a strong position — tied for fourth place in the team standings — and two players currently leading on the individual leader board.
Samantha Colombine delivered a stellar performance with a remarkable eight-under-par 64, setting a new program record and showcasing her excellent play and composure on the course. Her outstanding round propelled her an impressive 23 places up the leader board, ultimately securing her the top position among all competitors.
Timbre Shehee continued her steady, high-level play with another impressive round. Shehee carded a five-under-par 67, moving up four spots on the leader board and currently tied for second. Her strong performance reinforces her reputation as a consistent and composed competitor.
Jaci Hartman jumped 16 spots on the leader board with a solid even-par 72 in her second round. Her steady round helped the Bears maintain their team momentum heading into the final day.
Olivia Salonek recorded a four-over-par 76 in round two, placing her in a tie for 58th. She'll look to improve her standing with a strong final round showing.
Carolina Fallotico posted a six-over-par 78 and is focused on making a push in the third and final round of the tournament.
With two Northern Colorado players tied for the individual lead and the team firmly in contention, the final round promises to be thrilling. The Bears are poised for a strong finish as they aim for both individual and team honors at the Golf Iconic Classic.
