The men's and women's basketball tournaments will be hosted at Idaho Central Arena on March 8-12, marking the seventh straight year that Starch Madness will be held in Boise, Idaho. Â

- UNC enters with a 2-0 mark in Big Sky play after outlasting Idaho State 93-92 in overtime Saturday, Jan. 4 at Bank of Colorado Arena.
- Langston Reynolds laid in the game-winner with 13 seconds remaining and the Bears corralled a missed attempt by Idaho State with four ticks left.
- Reynolds led all scorers with 27 points, converting 13 of 15 from the field, with a career-high eight assists.
- Brock Wisne added 21 points, converting 10 of 13 from the field. Reynolds and Wisne became the first duo to register at least 20 points for the Bears in the same game this season.
- Reynolds and Jaron Rillie registered eight assists in the same game, the first time two Bears accomplished the feat in one contest.
- It is the 67th all-time meeting between the teams, with UNC trailing 22-44.
