West & Gamble Highlight UNC’s Effort in Close Contest Against Idaho State

POCATELLO, Idaho – Northern Colorado (7-6, 0-2 BSC) lost its second straight conference game Saturday, falling to Idaho State (6-7, 1-1 BSC) 50-58 at Reed Gym. Despite a strong second-quarter rally and solid performances from sophomore Tatum West and junior London Gamble, the Bears couldn't overcome offensive struggles or the Bengals' strong finish.
Top Performers
West led Northern Colorado with 10 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals while making five-of-12 from the field. Gamble added 11 points, including a 3-pointer, along with one assist and a rebound. Off the bench, freshman Neenah George contributed six points, including two-of-two shooting from beyond the arc.
On defense, junior Aniah Hall was a standout for the Bears, finishing with 13 rebounds—six on the offensive glass—and a career high four blocks. Junior Gabi Fields added five steals along with four points.

Idaho State jumped out to a 22-14 lead after the first quarter, taking advantage of Northern Colorado's offensive struggles. The Bears shot 27.8% in the opening period and failed to hit a 3-pointer while the Bengals capitalized on fast-break opportunities.
