Delaynie Byrne Signs Pro Contract

GREELEY, Colo. – Delaynie Byrne signed her first professional contract with the Caledonia Gladiators of the British Basketball League, the team announced.
Based in East Kilbride, Scotland, the Gladiators compete in the British Basketball League, the sole Scottish team in the top-tier league in the United Kingdom.
In two seasons with the Bears, Byrne averaged 14.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.7 blocks per game.
During her season campaign, the Denver, Colorado native tallied 423 points, 248 boards, 55 assists, 34 steals and 16 blocks in 31 contests. She established career highs in rebounds, steals and helpers in a season.
Bryne played in 17 games for Minnesota as a rookie, before transferring to UNLV before the 2020-21 campaign. She started 86 of the 103 games played in her collegiate career, amassing 1,174 points, 677 rebounds, 115 assists, 84 steals and 78 blocks.
