Saint Thomas Named to NABC All-District First Team

GREELEY, Colo. – Saint Thomas added more postseason hardware Tuesday.
The National Association of Baseball Coaches officials announced that Thomas garnered NABC All-District First Team honors.
"Being recognized on the NABC All-District First Team is another huge honor for Saint," head coach Steve Smiley said. "This team is the cream of the crop from both the Big Sky Conference and Western Athletic Conference, which is an extremely hight level district. We are proud of Saint and his accomplishments, as always."
The junior forward from Omaha, Nebraska, collected the accolade after recording 631 points, 315 rebounds, 133 rebounds, 53 steals and 28 blocks in 32 games – all starts – this season. He became the first player in program history with at least 500 points, 250 rebounds and 100 assists in a season and the only player with 600 point and 300 rebounds in one campaign.
Thomas registered a school record in the Division I era with 53 steals, while his 315 rebounds and 86.8% at the free-throw line placed him second. He ranked fourth in assists (133) and sixth in field-goals made (224), points scored (631) and points per game (19.7) and seventh in made free throws (118).
Thomas became the eighth Bear selected as an NABC All-District Selection and the sixth chosen to the first team. Under Smiley, Thomas secured the third award, including two on the first team.
