Pease Registered First-Career Multi-RBI Game

Pease, a rookie from Fort Collins, Colorado, rifled an 0-2 pitch into the left centerfield gap, scoring Dalton Miller and Carter Monda in the third inning.
Caden Wagner led the Bears with a pair of knocks in four at-bats. Zain Zinicola, Brandon Sanchez, Jackson Meier, Jake King and Jackson Romero each joined Pease with a hit apiece.
King opened the scoring with a two-out single in the first inning, plating Wagner, which jumpstarted the rally with a two-out base hit.
After the Utes moved in front 2-1 in the bottom of the first, UNC evened the score in the second with a pair of two-out hits. Zinicola tripled to center and crossed the plate on an RBI single off the bat of Sanchez.
Utah responded with four in the home half of the stanza.
Meier reached on a hit-by-pitch to open the third and moved to second when Monda worked a six-pitch walk. Romero grounded a single through the left side of the defense to load the bases with one out. Miller reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Meier. Pease strolled to the plate and delivered on the 0-2 offering, trimming the Bears' deficit to 6-5.
The Utes struck for four more in the bottom of the third and fourth innings, while adding one in the fifth and five in the sixth.
Sanchez tallied the final marker for the Bears when he crossed the plate in the fourth. He led off with a five-pitch base-on-balls and advanced to second on a wild pitch. He scampered home from third on a knock from Meier.

Following the series in Utah, the Bears return to Jackson Field Friday – Sunday for a Summit League series against Omaha. The first pitch for Friday's game is set for 2 p.m. with games Saturday and Sunday set for a noon start.
