FARGO, N.D. – Isaiah Hawthorne paced Northern Colorado with a double-double in an 82-70 loss against North Dakota State at the Scheels Center Saturday.
Hawthorne tallied 19 points and 10 rebounds, with three steals and two assists. Jaron Rillie netted 15 points, while Quinn Denker tallied 13.
The Bears struggled from the field all game, facing a 13-point deficit, seven minutes into the opening 20 minutes. They found their rhythm and closed to 37-34 at the half, with a 7-0 run.
North Dakota State utilized an 8-0 spurt and opened a 58-38 advantage with 12:28 remaining in regulation.
UNC closed the gap to 11 at 73-62, with a 6-0 run at the 2:28 mark.
UP NEXT: The Bears return to Bank of Colorado Arena Monday, Dec 16 at 6 p.m., against Air Force in the final home contest in 2024.
