No. 14 UNC Set to Compete at Cougar Clash

GREELEY, Colo. – No. 14 Northern Colorado returns to the mat at the Cougar Clash, hosted by SIUE in Edwardsville, Illinois at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The Bears earned a spot at the top of the podium in three weight classes at the 2023 Cougar Clash.
Dominick Serrano (133) and Vincent Zerban (157) return to defend their titles. Serrano went 4-0 with one pinfall and a major decision, while Zerban pinned his opponent in the quarterfinals and championship bout. He received a bye in the opening round and tallied a major decision in the semifinals.
The Bears made a strong showing with 10 different Bears earning a placement at the event. UNC inked a fourth, fifth and sixth-place finish each, while four Bears placed eighth. The Bears are sending 15 wrestlers to this year's tournament, with a complete list below. Admission into the Cougar Class at First Community Arena is free.
