Four Earn CSC Academic All-District Accolades

GREELEY, Colo. – Syd Cole, Brynn Reines, Sam Steele and Alayna Tessena garnered Academic All-District honors, the College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday.
"These four exemplify what we want in a student-athlete," head coach Lyndsey Oates said. "They are motivated in the classroom and on the court."
Steele earned her third appearance on the all-district team. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA and earned a master's degree in sports and exercise science.
Cole collected her second all-district honor, with a 4.0 GPA in pursuit of a master's in elementary education.
Reines, who is working towards a bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science with a 3.92, garnered her second selection.
Tessena collected the honor in her first year of eligibility. The sophomore has a 3.83 GPA, with an area of study in elementary education.
ABOUT THE CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT
The 2024 Academic All-District® Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced January 14, 2025.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
