Reynolds Drops 31 in Win Over Prairie View A&M

GREELEY, Colo. – Langston Reynolds registered his first-career 30-point game, helping Northern Colorado to a 114-98 victory over Prairie View A&M (1-5) Saturday at Bank of Colorado Arena.
The Bears (5-2) registered the second and third-highest point totals this season, tallying 55 in the first and 59 over the final 20 minutes.
UNC shot 65.7% from the field and built a 14-point advantage at the break. The Bears knocked down 21 of 35 field-goal attempts in the final stanza, totaling a season-high 114 points.
Isaiah Hawthorne and Brock Wisne tallied 17 points each. Egan Shields reached double-digits for the first time in his rookie campaign, netting 15.
Jaron Rillie stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Quinn Denker dished out seven assists, with seven points and two points.
Leading 10-7, UNC jumped out to a 13-point advantage with a 10-0 run at the 15:13 mark. The Bears built their largest lead of the first half at 55-37, with 1:06 remaining.
Prairie View utilized a 6-0 spurt in the second half and closed the gap to 74-64, with 12:25 left.
With 7:27 remaining, Hawthorne laid in a fastbreak layup, increasing the Bears cushion to a game-high 21 points at 96-75.
The Panthers reduced the deficit to 13 but UNC extended it back to 20. Prairie View tallied four points in the final 93 seconds for the final tally.
