Shehee Led the Bears at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Timbre Shehee shot a 2-under par 214 to lead Northern Colorado at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational – hosted by Kansas – at the Lawrence Country Club (Par 72/6,085 yards).
Shehee opened at even-par after the first two rounds Monday. She carded a 1-under 71 in the morning season, before shooting a 1-over 73 in the afternoon. She closed with a 70 Tuesday and moved up four spots, placing sixth.
UNC finished eighth in the 12-team field, totaling 905 strokes (303-304-298), seven swings behind Central Arkansas and three ahead of Delaware.
Jaci Hartman and Samantha Columbine posted matching scores and finished in a five-way draw for 37th, at 229. Hartman opened with a 78 and 77 Monday, with a 74 in the final round. Columbine fired a 74, 78 and 77.
Carolina Fallotico gained six spots, earning a four-way tie for 51st on the final day. She inked a 77 after tallying an 82 and 76 Monday.
Kailey Bass rounded out the scoring for UNC, shooting a 241 (80-82-79).
The Bears wrap up the fall season Oct. 21-22 at the Clash at Boulder Creek – hosted by Northern Arizona – in Las Vegas, Nev.
