Iongi-Amituanai Named UNC Student-Athlete of the Week

GREELEY, Colo. – Sam Iongi-Amituanai earned the University of Northern Colorado Student-Athlete of the Week, athletics department staff announced Tuesday.
"I am so happy that Sam finally achieved a well-deserved victory," head coach Ed Lamb said. "Any success we have starts with him."
Iongi-Amituanai, a senior from Mapusagafou, American Samoa defensive lineman is one of three captains selected by his teammates. In four seasons of college football, he never won a game until the Bears win over No. 20 Weber State Saturday.
In the win over Weber State, Iongi-Amituanai recorded six tackles, one off the team lead.
