UNC Suffers Setback at North Dakota State

FARGO, N.D. – Northern Colorado (8-4, 1-3 Big 12) dropped a 27-14 result against North Dakota State (3-6, 2-1) at Scheels Center Sunday.

The Bears jumped out to an 8-0 lead with a tech fall by No. 5 Stevo Poulin at 125, followed by a 5-1 decision from No. 18 Dominick Serrano.

North Dakota State responded with four straight wins, three by major decision and the fourth a pin to open an 18-8 advantage.

Travis Mastrogiovanni trimmed the deficit to seven with a 4-0 triumph at 174. The Bison extended the margin back to 10 before Xavier Vasquez recorded an 8-2 decision at 194.
