Bears Return Home Thursday

Setting the scene
Northern Colorado returns to Bank of Colorado Arena Thursday at 6 p.m. when the Bears open a two-game homestand against Sacramento State. The Bears close the short stint on their home floor against Portland State Saturday at 6 p.m.
UNC enters the weekend at 9-7, including 2-1 in Big Sky Conference action, after splitting a pair of road tilts last weekend.
The Bears trail Eastern Washington (3-0) and Montana State (3-1) in the league standings after defeating Montana, before closing the weekend with a loss at Montana State Saturday, Jan. 13. They sit a half-game ahead of Montana, Portland State, Weber State and Sacramento State, all tied at 2-2.
Sacramento State (6-11, 2-2) took down Weber State and Idaho State on the Hornets' home court last weekend.
Portland State (11-6, 2-2) split the weekend in Portland, Ore., with a triumph over Weber State Saturday, Jan. 13, after falling at home to Idaho State Thursday, Jan. 15.
