Bears fall at North Dakota State

Fargo, N.D. – University of Northern Colorado suffered a 1-0 setback against the North Dakota State Bison at Dacotah Field on Friday.
Northern Colorado moved to 0-7-1 on the campaign, while the Bison moved to 3-2-2.
The Bison started fast registering three shots, including one shot on goal in the first 10 minutes of the match. The Bears responded in the first half as Riley Kaali-Nagy recorded a shot on goal and Rachel Mortensen chipped in with a pair of shots on goal. The teams went into the half tied at zero, courtesy of three saves by Kaya Lindberg.
The second half was a defensive battle between the two squads. The Bison had a chance to score in the 56th minute via a penalty kick, but Lindberg stepped in to ensure the score remained tied at zero. In the 62nd minute, North Dakota State found the back of the net to take the 1-0 lead. The Bison held onto the lead for the final 28 minutes to secure the victory.
