Colorado Defeats the Bears

GREELEY, Colo. – University of Northern Colorado suffered a setback to Colorado at Bank of Colorado Arena Tuesday.
With the 25-21, 25-19, 25-22 result, the Bears dropped to 1-3 on the campaign, while the Buffaloes improved to 3-1.
Makenzie Harris paced UNC with 10 kills and one of two aces from the service line.
Runs in each game sealed victories for Colorado.
In set one, the Buffaloes trailed 10-8 before outscoring the Bears 17-11 to close out the game. With the score tied at 9-all in game two Colorado rode a 16-6 spurt, grabbing a commanding 2-0 edge.
UNC answered an early burst by the Buffaloes, closing a 9-4 deficit to 11-9, before allowing five-straight points. The Bears trimmed the deficit to 23-22, before a pair of successful attacks clinched the final tally.

The Bears travel to Boulder, Colorado for the Colorado Classic Friday and Saturday. They open against Charlotte at 4 p.m. Friday.
