UNC Athletics Continues Success in the Classroom

GREELEY, Colo. – University of Northern Colorado student-athletes once again proved to be champions in the classroom and completed the Spring 2023 semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.225 and a term GPA of 3.163. It's the 21st straight semester the Bears have earned a GPA of at least 3.0.
"Our student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom," said UNC Director of Athletics Darren Dunn. "I am so appreciative of our academic staff, coaches, and faculty for their tremendous support of UNC's student-athletes. We strive to build Champions for Life and I'm proud to see what these student-athletes accomplish academically and in their respective sports."
The women's golf team finished with a 3.761 Spring term GPA and a 3.729 cumulative GPA, which both ranked first within the UNC athletic department.
Leading the men's sports was the men's basketball team which finished with a 3.297 Fall term GPA, while the track & field team sported a 3.275 cumulative GPA.
10 teams earned a 3.0 GPA or higher for the Spring semester (men's basketball, men's track & field, wrestling, women's basketball, women's golf, softball, soccer, swimming & diving, women's track & field, and volleyball) 10 programs posted a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA (men's basketball, men's golf, men's track & field, women's basketball, women's golf, softball, soccer, swimming & diving, women's track & field, and volleyball).
