Northern Colorado Bows Out of Big Sky Tournament

BOISE, Idaho – Senior Daylen Kountz scored a game-high 27 points and Northern Colorado's second-half rally fell short in an 84-73 setback versus Montana State in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky tournament.
Kountz shot 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and finished 6-for-6 at the charity stripe.
Fellow senior Dalton Knecht dropped 26 points on 11-for-20 shooting from the field. The Thornton, Colorado native also grabbed eight rebounds and handed out three assists.
Senior Matt Johnson II added eight points to go with three assists.
As a team the Bears shot 43.1 percent (25-for-58) from the floor and a perfect 17-for-17 at the free-throw line.
