GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado (4-0, 0-0 Big 12) returns to the mat in dual meet action Sunday, Dec. 10, when the Bears open the Big 12 slate by hosting No. 21 West Virginia (4-1, 0-1 Big 12) in Bank of Colorado Arena at 1 p.m.
The Bears step back into dual action after competing at the Black Knight Invitational (Nov. 19) and the Cougar Clash (Dec. 2). Over the two events, Northern Colorado registered four individual winners, with 13 others placing.
UNC's line-up features four ranked wrestlers this week. Stevo Poulin is ranked No. 6 at 125 and 4-0. Dominick Serrano is 10-1 and ranked No. 32 at 133. Vincent Zerban owns an unblemished 11-0 mark, ranking No. 10 at 157 and Baylor Fernandes is No. 29 at 165, with three wins in five matches.
West Virginia enters the weekend with a 4-1 record, including a 0-1 mark in Big 12 action following a 21-19 home defeat against No. 18 Oklahoma Sunday, Dec. 3. The Mountaineers begin the weekend at Big 12 opponent Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo., at 7 p.m. Friday.
