- The Bears won the only meeting on the hardwood between the two programs.
- UNC defeated Texas A&M – Commerce last season 80-77, in Greeley.
- Saint Thomas is a double-double machine, averaging 17.0 points and 9.6 rebounds, ranking second in the Big Sky Conference and 19th in the nation with four double-doubles through eight contests.
- Thomas leads the Big Sky in field goals made with 35 offensive rebounds (2.83 per game).
- He is second in the league in scoring, rebounding, steals (2.0 spg), while his 3.75 assists per contest places him third, with the 30 total helpers ranking fourth.

- Northern Colorado defeated Colorado State in Fort Collins, the first win over the Rams since 2015. The Bears snapped a 14-game losing streak in Fort Collins, dating back to Dec. 2, 1986.
