CANCUN, Mexico – Four Northern Colorado student-athletes scored in double digits, as Radford edged Northern Colorado 79-68 Wednesday afternoon from the Cancun Challenge.

Saint Thomas scored a team-high 19 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field. Thomas also grabbed five boards and handed out four assists.

Riley Abercrombie added 14 points and hauled in a pair of rebounds.

Dejour Reaves and Jaron Rillie each dropped 12 points. Rillie dished out a game-high five assists.

The Bears shot 39.7 percent (23-for-58) from the field, while the Highlanders connected on 46.8 percent (29-for-62) of their attempts.
RU outrebounded UNC 37-32.
UNC shot 38.7 percent (12-for-31) from beyond the arc, while RU connected on 35 percent (7-for-20) of its attempts from 3-point range.
There was one lead change, and the game was tied twice.
