Bears Suffer Setback to Rams

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado fell to Colorado State 83-64 at Bank of Colorado Arena Tuesday.
Dejour Reaves led the Bears in scoring with 20 points, while Saint Thomas established a career high in rebounds with a game-high 15. Thomas and Brock Wisne joined Reaves in double-digit scoring, with Thomas adding 11 and Wisne dropping in 15.
UNC jumped out to a 7-2 advantage before the Rams answered with a 7-0 advantage to grab a 2-point advantage. Colorado State built its biggest lead of the half to 14, at 39-25, with 3:53 remaining in the opening 20 minutes.
The Bears ran off six straight, slicing the deficit to eight just 81 seconds into the final stanza. UNC failed to cut any more off the margin and CSU opened a 19-point gap at the 14:10 mark with an 11-0 spurt by the visitors from Fort Collins.
Over the final 14 minutes maintained a double-digit gap, fluctuating between a 13 and 21-point margin.
