Men's hoops set for Sacramento State

GREELEY, Colo. -- The UNC men's basketball team hits the road for a Big Sky matchup at Sacramento State this Thursday, Jan. 12. Tip-off in the Golden State is set for 8 p.m. (MT).
• Northern Colorado holds a 21-8 all-time record against Sacramento State.
• UNC has won six of the last seven meetings against the Hornets. Last season, the two teams split the regular-season series, as UNC won on the road 79-61 on Feb. 10, but lost to Sac State at home, 85-71, on Jan. 8.
• During the Feb. 10 meeting, Daylen Kountz led the Bears with 27 points.
• Through 16 games this season Dalton Knecht is second in the Big Sky for scoring, averaging 19.1 points per game. First place in league scoring belongs to Idaho's Isaac Jones (19.8 ppg).
• Knecht scored a career-high 32 points against Montana on Jan. 7. The senior also hit a career-best five three-pointers in the effort.
• This past weekend Northern Colorado dropped a pair of home games to Montana State, 77-56, and Montana, 79-74.
• Freshman Langston Reynolds set career-highs in points (12), minutes played (17), field goals made (5), three-pointers made (2), and steals (1) in the loss to Montana State.
• Fellow freshman Brock Wisne had a career-best night against Montana and finished just one rebound shy of a double-double. The freshman ended with 11 points and nine rebounds, both career highs.
• Despite the loss to the Grizz, UNC faced an 18-point deficit midway through the second half, but battled back to cut Montana's lead to just one point with 24 seconds remaining in the contest.
