With the result, Northern Colorado improved to 6-5 on the season while Santa Clara fell to 4-8.
UNC's Kailey Jo Ince led all players with 19 kills while Huhn finished with a career-high 14 terminations. Using just 21 swings on the night and charged with zero attacking errors, Huhn hit a notable .667 average to add a pair of kills to her previous high. Gibbs added four kills in the fourth and final set alone to help clinch the win.

UP NEXT
UNC will return to action on Thursday, Sept. 22 when it opens Big Sky Conference play at Idaho State. The Bears will return to the court two days later when they host their first Big Sky match with Montana State making the trip to Greeley. Opening set is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday inside the Bank of Colorado Arena.

Tickets for all regular-season volleyball matches are available via the UNC Athletics app, online at UNCBears.com/tickets or by calling (970) 351-4849. Tickets can also be purchased in person by visiting the Ticket Office in Campus Commons from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
SET #1
Making it 16-15, Ince provided the final go-ahead point for the Bears after being down by as many as three points early in the set. Ince connected for the next two points to extend the advantage before holding on for the 25-23 win.
SET #2
The Bears grabbed a 4-3 lead on a Rachel Hickman kill, but the Broncos used a 10-4 run to switch the momentum. Santa Clara held the Bears to a match-low .182 hit rate en route t the five-point win.
SET #3
Rebounding in the third, Northern Colorado never trailed to reclaim the overall match advantage. The Bears created as much as a six-point lead as Huhn finished the set with two of the final three kills.
SET #4
Down 15-11, the Bears were sparked coming out of a timeout by the play of freshman Zoe Gibbs. Gibbs placed back-to-back swings as part of a five-point spree which soon helped the Bears to a 18-16 edge. The Broncos fended off two match point serves but couldn't stop the third attempt as a block from Huhn and Brynn Reines provided the final capping point.
