Both Graham Nugent and Rob Parrish earn promotions to Assistant ADs
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Director of Athletics Darren Dunn has announced the promotion of Director of Facilities & Events Graham Nugent and Director of Bear Vision Rob Parrish to Assistant Athletics Director roles within the department.
"Graham Nugent has done an outstanding job in charge of our Facilities and Events unit. He navigated the increased safety precautions created by the COVID-19 pandemic with the same positive attitude and diligence he tackles every day," said Director of Athletics Darren Dunn. "Graham takes a can-do, servant approach behind the scenes to support our student-athletes."
Nugent has been a member of the Bears staff since 2016, first as an Assistant Director before being promoted into the Director role in 2019. Nugent oversees the operations management for athletics events as well as the scheduling and upkeep of all athletics spaces. He has managed numerous championship events, such as the 2021 Big Sky Soccer Championships and the COVID-impacted Spring 2021 Big Sky Volleyball Championships, led numerous facilities upgrades and served as the department liaison to campus partners in the construction of the new Empower Center strength and conditioning facility. Nugent was recognized by his peers with the 2021-22 Bob Heiny Bear Pride award, given annually to a UNC Athletics employee who epitomizes the core values and mission of the department.
"Rob Parrish's leadership in our video operations has been outstanding. He tackled this year's seamless transition to ESPN+. Our video production is recognized as among the best among our peers, and this is because of Rob's effort and expertise," Dunn added. "His work in our video unit has expanded our reach and provided additional opportunities to highlight our outstanding student-athletes."
Parrish joined the Bears in July of 2019 and has since led an exponential growth in the video production quality and capabilities of UNC Athletics. Since his hire UNC has added baseball, soccer, softball and swimming & diving to the list of live event streams in addition to men's and women's basketball, football, volleyball and wrestling. Parrish implemented and managed UNC's first year as a member of the ESPN family as all Big Sky events were streamed live on ESPN+. Parrish's staff includes one other full-time team member and more than 30 students and independent contractors who make up the Bear Vision production team.
