Northern Colorado Remains Strong In NCAA’s APR Report

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Northern Colorado Athletics continues to demonstrate its commitment to academic excellence with the release of the 2024-25 Academic Progress Rates (APR) by the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Northern Colorado once again posted strong marks across its programs, highlighted by multiple teams earning perfect multiyear APR scores of 1,000. Leading the way, women's golf maintained its elite academic standard with a perfect 1,000, continuing its streak of top-tier performance. Joining them with perfect multiyear scores were women's basketball, women's cross country, women's soccer, and women's track and field.
Several programs showed continued academic strength with scores well above the NCAA benchmark of 930, including volleyball (994), women's swimming & diving (990), softball (985), and men's basketball (978). Baseball (968), men's cross country (969), men's track (970), and wrestling (969) also turned in solid performances.
The APR measures eligibility, retention and graduation of student-athletes, serving as a key indicator of academic success within collegiate athletics.
Football recorded a multiyear APR of 940, while men's golf posted a 943, both maintaining scores above the national standard.
The continued success in the classroom reflects the department's emphasis on developing student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.
