Hoage Named to Preseason All-Big Sky Team

Junior linebacker David Hoage earned a spot on the Preseason All-Big Sky team
SPOKANE, Wash. – Linebacker David Hoage became Northern Colorado's first All-American since 2015, now he's on the Big Sky's All-Preseason team announced by the conference Monday morning. The junior enters 2022 after a dominant 2021 season that earned the respect of the Big Sky media who voted on the team.
Hoage earned third team All-America honors from both the AP and Stats Performance in 2021 along with making the Hero Sports Sophomore All-America team. He led the Big Sky in tackles for a loss with 22 and ranked third in the nation on his way to a second team All-Big Sky selection.
He is coming off a season where he set the program's Division I record for sacks with 10.5 while he added in another eight QB hurries. Hoage totaled 70 tackles on the year.
