Jack Castiglia finished tied for 11th at the UC Santa Barbara Collegiate

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Jack Castiglia shot a 3-under, 33 over his final nine of the UC Santa Barbara Collegiate helping him finish tied for 11th. He shot a 1-under, 71 for the round to finish at 2-over for the tournament. Castiglia put three birdies and an eagle on his scorecard Tuesday.

In the tournament cut short a round due to high winds Monday afternoon, Castiglia helped Northern Colorado to a tie for ninth with the host Gauchos. As a team, UNC shot a 25-over, 601 over the 36 holes.

Marcus Tait joined Castiglia in the top 30 at the tournament finishing tied for 29th. He shot a 73-76 over the two rounds for a 5-over, 149. He led the team with eight birdies for the tournament.

What's Ahead
The next time Northern Colorado hits the course it will be for a championship. UNC will join the rest of the Big Sky schools at Talking Stick Golf Club, on April 25-27 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
