Northern Colorado Men’s Golf Opens Play at Wyoming Cowboy Classic

MARICOPA, Ariz. – Northern Colorado men's golf opened play at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic on Tuesday, completing the first round before play was paused during the second round.
The tournament is scheduled to resume and conclude with the completion of rounds two and three on Wednesday, April 1.
The Bears currently sit in 19th place as a team following the opening round, highlighted by a strong start from Cooper Tate. Tate paced Northern Colorado with an impressive 1-under-par 71, positioning himself in 39th on the individual leader board. Kaelen Dulany and Matias Koropeski each turned in solid opening rounds, finishing the day tied for 62nd as they helped provide depth to the Bears lineup.
Rowan MacDonald and Thomas Barnes Grimes rounded out Northern Colorado's scoring group, sitting in 106th and 114th, respectively, after 18 holes.
With two rounds still to be completed, Northern Colorado will look to climb the leader board as play resumes Wednesday morning at Southern Dunes Golf Club.
