Men's Basketball Hosts Idaho for Senior Night

UNC men's basketball hits the court in Bank of Colorado Arena one last time
GREELEY, Colo. – For one last time in the 2021-22 season Northern Colorado men's basketball will play inside Bank of Colorado Arena. The Bears will host Idaho for a 6 pm tip-off on Senior Night.

Opening Tip
- Northern Colorado dropped its next to last home game of the year 85-76 against Eastern Washington.
- Matt Johnson II had his fourth 20-point game of the season scoring 20 points and added in a game-high seven rebounds.
- Daylen Kountz continues to fill the basket with 16 points along with four rebounds and two assists.
- Kountz continues to lead the Big Sky in scoring averaging 20.4 points per game and ranking 15th in the nation. In Big Sky play he is averaging 21.6 ppg.
- UNC will honor five graduating seniors before the game in Dru Kuxhausen, Bodie Hume, Kur Jongkuch, Matt Johnson II and Tre'shon Smoots.
- Dru Kuxhausen leads the Big Sky for three's per game (3.14) and second for three-point field goal percentage (43.3%). That ranks him in the top 20 nationally as well.
- The Bears are averaging 77.9 points per game to rank second in the Big Sky and 33rd in the nation.
- Northern Colorado leads the Big Sky in both field goal percentage (47.5%) and three-point field goal shooting (38.2%). They rank in the top 30 in both categories in the nation.
- Bodie Hume is eight made threes away from holding the program's record.
Scouting the Vandals
Before Thursday night Idaho was riding a three-game win streak picking up wins over Weber State, Montana and Eastern Washington. UI was unable to carry its home momentum with them to Sacramento on Thursday falling 83-51.
Mikey Dixon has led the team all year long with his 16.9 points per game. Fellow guard Trevante Anderson is averaging 13.4 points and 3.7 assists per game.
Idaho has struggled defensively at times allowing teams to score 80.2 points per game against them and shoot 48.3% from the field.
What's Ahead
Northern Colorado closes the regular season with a trip to Montana and Montana State, March 3 and 5, respectively.
