UNC drops dual to South Dakota State

Wrestling falls to SDSU 29-9
BROOKINGS, SD – Northern Colorado wrestling started a two dual weekend by taking on the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State on Friday night. The Bears picked up some early wins, but it wasn't enough as they fell 29-9.
UNC started on the board as Jace Koelzer defeated Tanner Jordan by decision 5-2. He picked up a takedown in the final minute of the first period and a quick reversal in the second to go up 4-0. Koelzer tacked on an extra point with his 2:45 of ride time.
Chris Sandoval evened the team score at six with his 4-2 decision over Daniel Kimball. Sandoval earned the key reversal late in the second period that put him up 4-1 and he only let Kimball escape one more time.
Nate Moore picked up a win as well with his 4-2 sudden victory decision against Kenny O'Neil. Entering the sudden victory period tied at two, Moore finished the dual with his takedown at 30 seconds.

Enjoy some UNC wrestling on Super Sunday. The Bears travel to North Dakota State for a 1 pm MT dual. Including Sunday Northern Colorado has just two duals left before the Big 12 Championships at the beginning of March.
