Northern Colorado men's basketball defeated Sacramento State 79-61
SACRAMENTO – With a business-like mentality Northern Colorado took care of Sacramento State on Thursday night 79-61. The Bears improve to 8-4 in Big Sky play after the win while the Hornets drop to 2-11. The win makes it three straight for Northern Colorado
UNC locked in on the defensive end holding Sac to 40.0% shooting. Meanwhile, four different Bears finished the game with double figures scoring. Big Sky leading scorer Daylen Kountz led the team with 27 points. Kur Jognkuch turned in his seventh double-double of the year with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
After neither team could buy a basket early on Northern Colorado's offense heated up to help the Bears slowly build its lead against Sacramento State. Dru Kuxhausen caught fire early on, surprisingly with a pair of layups, not long-distance threes.
He did make a pair of threes in the first half to score 12 points and finished with 15 for the game.

The Bears started the second half strongly and put the game away with a 12-2 run early on. Kountz, Jongkuch and Bodie Hume each scored four points during it.
A 10-0 run midway through the second pushed the lead to almost 20 points.
