Wrestling Set for Weekend of Competition in New York

GREELEY, Colo.- Northern Colorado Wrestling will make their way to New York State where they are set to face Binghamton University in a dual and compete in the Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Saturday's dual is set to begin at 2 p.m. MT and will be available to stream on ESPN+.

The following day, the Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open will feature over 250 wrestlers from multiple institutions including Penn State, Cornell, West Virginia, Columbia, Navy, and Bucknell. The tournament is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. MT with live results will be available on flowrestling.org.

Following their stint in New York, UNC will make their way to Morgantown, West Virginia where they will compete in the Mountaineer Quad on November 20.

Northern Colorado's home opener will take place on December 18 as they host the UNC Duals in Bank of Colorado Arena.

- Northern Colorado is coming off of a resounding 43-3 victory in their first match of the season against Fort Hays State last week.
- In last week's matchup, three Bears won by falls in just the first period, in Stevo Poulin, Andrew Alirez, and Xavier Doolin.
- Three additional Bears, Jace Koelzer, Vincent Zerban, and Baylor Fernandes, won their matches by technical falls.
- Of the nine duals won last week, the team earned extra points in seven of them.
