Soccer Hits the Road, Faces Montana

GREELEY, Colo.- UNC Soccer is making the trip north to Missoula this week, as they look to get the defense of their 2021 Big Sky title back on track.Â

Scouting the Griz
Montana will enter the match with Northern Colorado with a 4-4-6 overall record and a 1-2-2 Big Sky record on the season. They are coming off of a 1-0 loss to Idaho and a 0-0 tie against Eastern Washington, a mark nearly identical to the Bears' against the same teams last week. Their lone conference win so far comes in a 2-1 victory over Sacramento State on the road earlier this season.

Delaney Lou Schorr is Head Coach Chris Citowicki's leading scorer, with five goals this season, including a goal in the team's 3-0 shutout over North Dakota State. Other notable players for Montana include Maysa Walters and Camellia Xu. Walters has five assists and one goal on the season. Xu, the team's goalkeeper, has recorded 45 total saves and seven shutouts, along with being named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week earlier this season.
