GREELEY, Colo.—Bookending the match with sets in which they never trailed, Northern Colorado dispatched Idaho, 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-16), in Big Sky volleyball action inside the Bank of Colorado Arena on Thursday night.

Northern Colorado (11-8, 5-3 Big Sky) was never threatened in the opening set and overcame seven lead changes in the second to snare a commanding 2-0 lead. The Bears opened up a 7-1 lead in the third set and went on to hit .432 as a team in the finale to complete the sweep.

Despite playing three sets, freshman Brynn Reines tallied a career best four aces on the night. Syd Cole, meanwhile, topped the 40-assist plateau for the fifth time in three-set contests. Her 43 assists fell one shy of a season best in an abbreviated match.Cece Huhn paced the attack with 14 kills on 19 swings (.737) while

Kailey Jo Ince and Rachel Hickman added 13 and 10 kills, respectively.

The Bears will return to action Saturday night when they host Eastern Washington University. Opening serve is set for 7 p.m. against the Eagles.
