Bears complete Treasure State sweep in dominating fashion

Since starting Big Sky play with a pair of home losses, Northern Colorado (10-8, 4-3) has rattled off wins in four of its last five matches to jump into a tie for fourth place in the conference standings.
Hitting .398 on the night, the Bears never trailed by more than two points at any point in the match. UNC posted a wire-to-wire win in the third set to complete the sweep.
The eight points allowed in the third set was the lowest UNC has kept a team this the season with the previous best 10 points allowed in the opening set at Colorado State on August 30.
The Bears hitting percentage was the team's highest in over a month with the .400 average against CSU Bakersfield on Sept. 9 the next closest comparison.
Fresh off a career-high 13 kills at Montana State on Thursday, sophomore Maddie Davies upped her tally again with a 14-kill (.778) performance against the Grizzlies.Kailey Jo Ince and Rachel Hickman added 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Syd Cole led the floor with 37 assists while Michaela Boon reached for a team-high 11 digs.
UNC will return home next week to face Idaho (Oct. 20) and Eastern Washington (Oct. 22) inside the Bank of Colorado Arena.
