Northern Colorado Participants Named to ‘Big Sky U’ Class of 2021-22

FARMINGTON, Utah- The members of the 'Big Sky U' class of 2021-22 were announced by the conference and they come with some familiar faces. Seven total participants including administrators, coaches, and student-athletes from UNC Athletics were nominated and chosen to take part in the program as it enters its second year.
'Big Sky U' is designed to assist members within the conference in furthering their careers in collegiate athletics through professional development and practical networking opportunities. It is a part of the conference's #ExperienceElevated initiative that focuses on strengthening leadership and professional development for Big Sky student-athletes, coaches, and administrators.
The four cohorts of the program include the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Aspiring Coaches and Athletics Administrators, Aspiring Head Coaches, and Aspiring Athletic Directors, with representation from UNC Athletics in each of the categories.
UNC Football's Uryan Hudson and Women's Swimming and Diving's AJ Popp will represent UNC in the Aspiring Coaches and Athletics Administrators cohort.
The Aspiring Head Coaches cohort will include two current UNC assistant coaches, Men's Basketball's Cory Fehringer and Soccer's Amy Kolowsky.
David Sabolcik, Senior Associate AD for UNC Athletics, will be participating in the Aspiring Athletic Directors category of the program.
Finally, Sarah Jackson from Women's Swimming and Diving and Jalen Lyon from Men's Track and Field will be members of the 'Big Sky U's' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
They will each meet with their specific cohort virtually regularly as they take part in the semester-long program.
