Abbi Fleiner sits inside the top 10 after the second round of the Big Sky Championship
MOLALLA, Ore. – It was moving day at the Big Sky Championship on Tuesday and Northern Colorado women's golf moved up the leaderboard. The Bears went from sixth place entering the day to fourth place when the last ball rattled home in the cup.
UNC tied for the second-best round of the day as a team shooting a 19-over, 307 to move ahead of Weber State and Idaho. Abbi Fleiner and Amy Chitkoksoong had the best rounds for UNC shooting 3-over 75.
Fleiner sits in the top 10 of the individual leaderboard entering tomorrow's final round tied for eighth. Her 75 on Tuesday combined with her 76 on Monday has her at 7-over, 151. She once again led the team with three birdies on her scorecard including opening and closing her day with one.
Chitkoksoong moved 13 spots up the leaderboard with her 75. She cut five strokes off her first round score and netted a pair of birdies on Tuesday. She enters the final round tied for 19th with two other players including teammate Marisa Hisaki.
Hisaki and Chitkoksoong are at 11-over, 155. Hisaki shot a 5-over, 77 on Tuesday.
