Wrestling places record 14 wrestlers on Academic All-Big 12 Team

Northern Colorado had a program-best 14 wrestlers named to the academic All-Big 12 team
IRVING, Texas – Northern Colorado wrestling not only had a strong year on the mat, earning the program's first top 25 ranking in 51 years and its best-ever finish at the Big 12 Championships, but they took care of business in the classroom too.
The Bears had 14 wrestlers earn Academic All-Big 12 honors. The most since joining the conference.
They break down to nine on the first team and five on the second team. A trio of Bears earned their spot on the list with a 4.0 grade point average, in Alan Clothier, Nate Moore and Jacob Seely.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
