Men's Basketball Heads Up I25 to Face Colorado State Saturday

UNC and CSU faceoff on the hardwood Saturday
GREELEY, Colo. – Returning home to the Centennial State from a three-game road trip UNC Men's Basketball will make the short trip up I25 to face Colorado State on Saturday. The Bears and Rams tip-off at Noon inside Moby Arena.
Fast Break
- Daylen Kountz recorded his fifth 20-plus points game of the season and second straight against San Jose State with a team-high 22 points. Kountz is averaging a team leading 18.0 ppg and ranks fourth in the Big Sky.
- Kur Jongkuch had his second straight double-double and fourth of the season on Tuesday. He scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, one shy of his career-best on the boards.
- Matt Johnson II was making the right read all night against the Spartans. He scored 11 points and dished out five assists. Overall, UNC had 15 assists in the game.
- Bodie Hume was the fourth Bear to score in double figures on Tuesday with 11 points. He added in seven rebounds as well.
- Dalton Knecht had a career-best five assists against SJSU. He scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds.
- Freshman Zach Bloch scored his first points in the Blue & Gold making a pair of free throws late in the first half.
- Colorado State is on a six-game win streak to start the 2021-22 season fresh off winning the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands earlier this week.
- CSU and UNC last played each other in 2016.
Scouting the Rams
Fourth year head coach Niko Medved has his team rolling to start the 2021-22 season. The veteran Ram's squad is 6-0 fresh off a Paradise Jam championship.
CSU is led by big man David Roddy. He is averaging 24.2 points per game, ranking fourth in the NCAA along side 8.3 rebounds.
Colorado State has eclipsed the 80-point mark four times this season including a season-high 109 points in the season opener against Oral Roberts.
