Bears Compete in Final Game of 2021 season

Northern Colorado ended the 2021 football season against Weber State Saturday
It all started when Alec Lewis found Kassidy Woods for a 29-yard touchdown pass. The score put the Bears up 10-7.
On the ensuing kickoff, Ben Raybon kicked it straight off the WSU up man and recovered the kick. Two plays later the Wildcats reclaimed the lead with a pick-six.

The wildness didn't stop there as UNC took over the lead with a tip drill touchdown. Lewis' pass was tipped off a diving Woods hand but perfectly into the hands of Dylan Thomas who raced 63-yards for the score.

Thomas concluded his college career with four catches for 108 yards and one score.
Northern Colorado's defense made its fair share of plays Saturday too including a Jace Bobo recording his third interception of the season and recording a tackle for loss.

Big Sky leader in tackles for a loss David Hoage grabbed one more on Saturday to finish his season with 22.

- Today's captains for the game were Jerone Jackson, Eddie Gonzales, Kyle Ergenbright and Grant Stephens.
- Alex Lewis passed for 178 yards and two touchdowns in a relief effort for the Bears. He also ran for four yards.
- The Bears limited Weber State to 228 yards of offense on the day.
- In his final game in the Blue & Gold, Jerone Jackson led the team with six tackles.
