Bears Announce 2022 Indoor Track and Field Schedule

UNC faces another challenging schedule for the 2022 indoor season
GREELEY, Colo. -The Northern Colorado Track and Field team announced it's 2022 indoor schedule which begins Dec 3rd in Colorado Springs. The Bears are in their third season under the leadership of Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Wayne Angel.

"It's always exciting when we get to announce the track and field schedule," Angel said. "This season will be challenging, it will truly test our student athlete's talent and abilities as we compete at some of the best venues across the country. Our goals remain the same and this schedule was made to put our student-athletes in the best possible position for success at the Big Sky Championships and beyond." Â
Northern Colorado will open the 2022 track and field season Dec 3rd at the Air Force Holiday Open in Colorado Springs. The Bears are then set to travel to West Lafayette, Indiana for the Gene Edmonds Invitational (Jan 8). The first split weekend of the year (Jan 14-15) takes Northern Colorado to the Corky Classic in Lubbock, Texas and the Potts Invitational in Boulder.
On Jan. 22 the Bears travel to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete in the Mark Colligan Invite. The following week (Jan 28-29) Northern Colorado heads to Lawrence, Kansas for the Kansas Invitational. Feb. 11-12. UNC return to Lubbock for the Texas Tech Shoot Out and close out the season Feb. 18 with a return to Lincoln for the Nebraska Tune Up Invitational.
The indoor postseason begins Feb. 24-26 with the Big Sky Championships in Bozeman Montana. NCAA qualifiers will be announced the following week with focus turned to the NCAA Championships at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. The national meet will be contested March 11-12.
