Women's Basketball heads north for Big Sky matchup versus Montana State

GREELEY, Colo. – Following its first conference win of the season, Northern Colorado Women's Basketball eyes to continue its momentum as the team travels into the heart of Big Sky Country to take on Montana State.

Northern Colorado picked up its first Big Sky win of the season with a 77-76 overtime win over Montana.
Sophomore forward Alisha Davis collected Big Sky Player of the Week honors, following two monstrous performances against the Lady Griz. Her two double-doubles also featured a career-high six blocks on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Hannah Simental poured in a career-high 19 points on Friday evening against Montana. The Pueblo, Colorado native has already notched double-figure scoring totals in four games this season.
Metro State Denver transfer Jaiden Galloway was cleared for eligibility just in time to kick of the new year. Her instant-impact play has already been felt on the defensive end of the floor, and she picked up her first start in the Blue and Gold on Sunday.
Led by the 14-rebound effort from Alisha Davis, UNC cleared the glass for a season-high 51 rebounds against Montana.
Scouting the Bobcats
The Bobcats were picked to finish fourth in both preseason polls released by the Big Sky. Sophomore Darian White (17 ppg) and senior Tori Martell (13.7 ppg) lead the way for 16th-year head coach Tricia Binford. With Southern Utah Women's Basketball paused due to COVID-19, MSU has yet to play a Big Sky game this season.
History against Montana State
All-time, the Bears are 14-16 against the Bobcats with a 5-8 mark in Bozeman. Northern Colorado will be focused on avenging the three losses MSU handed UNC last spring.
Against the Conference
The Bears are 1-3 thus far in a young Big Sky Conference season. Since joining the conference, UNC has 159 wins to just 125 losses.
