Five wrestlers to compete Sunday
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo – Northern Colorado looks to compete in a slate of extra matches Sunday at 12 p.m. against wrestlers from Big 12 Conference opponents Air Force, South Dakota State and Wyoming.
Scouting the Bears
Jackson Hemauer and Johnny Blankenship both look to make their debut as Bears on Sunday. Hemauer enters the competition ranked No. 21 by FloWrestling in the 174-pound weight class. Blankenship is ranked No. 28 at 165-pounds by The Open Mat.
Jace Koelzer looks to continue his 3-match win streak in the 125-pound weight class, including a win by fall over Wyoming's Brendon Garcia.
Theorius Robison is ranked No. 18 by FloWrestling at 125-pounds.
Freshman Damen Pape enters the competition after getting his first victory of the season in Northern Colorado's dual against California Baptist.
Air Force and South Dakota State will compete in a dual team format, while Northern Colorado will only compete in extra matches, where team points will not be counted.
