In the early parts of the 2020-21 season, Idaho has earned its place near the top of the conference. Head coach Jon Newlee has his team 6-4 and 5-1 in the Big Sky. Apart from its loss to Northern Arizona, Idaho has only dropped games to power five opponents.
Junior Gina Marxen and sophomore Beyonce Bea were both named to the Big Sky Preseason All-Conference Team, and with good reason. Bea is fourth in the conference in scoring (15.1 ppg) and Marxen (13.6 ppg) makes a fierce one-two punch.
