Women's Golf Began Spring Season at the Gunrock Invitational

UNC women's golf started its spring season this past Sunday and Monday
SACRAMENTO – Northern Colorado women's golf finally began their spring season this week competing in the Gunrock Invitational. The Bears spring season was delayed a couple of weeks after the Battle at the Rock was canceled due to high winds. UNC shot a 962 for the 54-hole tournament to finish in 10th place.
Freshman Abbi Fleiner led the Bears by finishing tied for 34th shooting a 237. She had her best round of the week in the final round with a 77. Fleiner led the team with five birdies over the 54-holes and was second with 28 pars.
The low rounds of the tournament belonged to Beah Cruz and Marisa Hisaki who each shot 76s. Cruz's 76 came in the first round when she placed three birdies on her scorecard. Hisaki shot a 76 during the final with 14 pars and four bogeys.
What's Ahead
The Bears continue their spring season near the end of March when they head to Sedona, Arizona for the Redrocks Invitational hosted by Big Sky school Northern Arizona.
