Bank of Colorado Sports Performance Center match allows you to double your impact on the critical project’s fundraising effort
Join Northern Colorado Athletics and support UNC student-athletes by participating in the second annual Bearnanza. Bearnanza is UNC's week of philanthropy launched on Giving Tuesday, December 1 when you can make a tax-deductible donation to support UNC Athletics. As a part of this year's Bearnanza, Bank of Colorado has made a dollar-for-dollar pledge to match donations to the Sports Performance Center project up to a total of $25,0000. Click here to go to the Bearnanza website.
Â
The state-of-the-art, stand-alone Sports Performance Center is a 100% donor-funded project currently being fund raised for. The SPC will total 10,000 square feet, more than triple the size of the existing weight room in Butler-Hancock, and be a vast improvement with the latest in strength equipment and raised ceilings to accommodate all 350+ student-athletes on UNC's 17 UNC Division I programs. The Sports Performance Center will be built on the south side of Butler-Hancock near Bank of Colorado Arena, the football practice fields and the auxiliary gym.
Â
"As the top priority for UNC Athletics, we are thankful to the supporters who have shown their Bear Pride and donated to the Sports Performance Center project so far," said Director of Athletics Darren Dunn. "We aren't there yet, and we need others to assist us in reaching our goal. The Sports Performance Center will prove our continued commitment to a championship experience, separate us from other institutions, attract potential student-athletes, and play an integral part in the success of every team at UNC."
Â
In addition to the Sports Performance Center, you can make gifts to any individual sport or the general Blue and Gold Fund. Several sports, including wrestling, are spearheading Bearnanza with campaigns of their own. Below is a list of all individual sports funds that you can contribute to in support of Bearnanza 2020.
