Opening Tip
• A late Northern Arizona run led the Lumberjacks over UNC 64-58 in the Bears last action a week ago.
• Matt Johnson broke out of a slump in the game against NAU scoring a team-leading 17 points including making 5-of-8 shots from behind the arc.
• This is the second time in two weeks that Northern Colorado has been off for a week in conference play.
• Saturday's stretch starts four games in eight days stretch for the Bears.
• Idaho enters Saturday's game on a three-game losing streak.
• This is the second straight game UNC is facing an interim head coach. Idaho coach Zac Claus is 5-12 as the interim coach.
• The Vandals are averaging 67.7 points per game both overall and in conference play.

Last Time Out
Northern Colorado had plenty of good looks, but they didn't fall as the Bears fell to Northern Arizona 64-58.

NAU made a late 20-4 run to comeback and beat the Bears.

Scouting the Vandals
Expectations coming into the season for Idaho were low as both the coaches and media picked them to finish last in the conference by a large margin.

While the Vandals are 1-5 in the conference, their five conference losses have all come by four points or less.

Trevon Allen leads the team offensively averaging 19.8 points per game and has upped it to 21.2 per game in Big Sky play.

History Against Idaho
UNC and Idaho did not play against each other until 2015 when the Vandals rejoined the Big Sky Conference. The Bears hold a 5-3 advantage after UI jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the series.

On This Date
Northern Colorado has gone a combined 9-14 when playing on January 25. When on the road they are 5-8.

Around the Big Sky
The Montana schools went on the road Thursday and squeaked out wins over Idaho State and Weber State. Montana's two-point win over ISU helped them gain a two-game lead in the Big Sky standings over UNC, Eastern Washington and Southern Utah who are all tied for second place.

What's Ahead?
The Bears close out their road trip when they face Eastern Washington on Monday night. UNC and EWU are set to tip-off at 7 pm MT.
