Falcons prove to be no match for Bears

UNC volleyball got their season started early with an exhibition match the Air Force Academy. The Falcons coming off a solid season came into 2019 with a new coach and no seniors on the team and the Bears took full advantage. Sparked by a runaway win in the second set 25-8, Northern Colorado swept AFA 3-0.
After a first set win, 25-19, in which UNC went on a 15-9 stretch to win the set they broke it wide open in the middle frame highlighted by:

- 13 straight points with Jadyn McCartney serving.
- UNC had runs of 13-0 and 7-0.
BREAKING OUT OF THE BOX SCORE
- Taylor Muff had 10 kills to lead all players.
- Daisy Schultz had 23 assists and 10 digs.
- Maddy Bremer had a pair of kills and blocks.
- Taylor Els led all Bears with 14 digs.
- The Bears were picked to finish fourth out of 11 teams in the preseason Big Sky Poll.
