Bears named to AVCA All-Academic Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Over the last school year, numerous UNC volleyball players had been recognized for their individual academic success. With the announcement of the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Team All-Academic Honors the whole team was noticed for their success as a group.
The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
UNC posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.701.
As a conference the Big Sky had eight of their 11 teams earn the academic honor.
